Did you know there is a Youtube Free Cleaning community? AlSweigart posted about Midwest Magic Cleaning, and specifically the channel owner's bracing reaction to the commenters who "get off on the dopamine rush of mocking people and blaming them." Very informative, and not a bad intro to the people helping folks with depression and various mental issues that result in hoarding or out of control mess. As armeowda comments "This dude gets it."
Wait, wait, wait, you mean it’s possible to do comedy and cartography at the same?! As pointed out in this post by rory about the Map Men YouTube series, it is not only possible, the results are absolutely fantastic, come check’em out!
About that mouse that's been tidying up a shed: sciatrix relays some information about what kind of mouse it might be and possibly what's it doing and why!

if the men find out we can shapeshift, they're going to tell the church: Contouring 101I don't know what I expected, but it was not 'you will have to pause a 5-minute video about makeup fundamentals twice because you will not be able to stop laughing.' – mhoye

History pals!
Enjoy some newly-animated historical city photos, plus barnacles on the history of Australian public bathrooms "in case you're the sort of person that wants to see 115-year old survey sketches of toilets and urinal blocks".
Or listen to the meticulously recreated ambient sounds of 1700s Paris.
How about Marie Duval, 19th century woman cartoonist called 'one of the forgotten wonders of nineteenth-century art .. the bizarre dreamlike distortions of her comic world look like some steampunk 21st-century version of Victorian London."
Or the re-discovered ancient Chinese texts that rewrite the early history of Taoism and Confucianism.
Speaking of, what are some examples of historical events that are commonly misunderstood?
Did you catch teponaztli transcribing some diary pages from 1799-1804 New York City? "The most I've seen her write about anything was how much she hates games, which I love for its being an angry rant from 200+ years ago."
Or enjoy the brief video on the baseball fan Wild Bill Hagy, which is a time capsule of 1979 Baltimore.
Harking back to 1979, share some sense-memories in what was it like when everybody smoked?
Or looking further back - what was sugar like in 1631?
Finally, what are the best history nerds on Youtube?
Movies, tv shows, YouTube, books .... looking for the BIG LAUGH. Not ironic, not sarcastic. Immediately, viscerally funny.

The OP has updated an old thread about a 30-year-old mystery tune in Ask Me with a YouTube video of the song. Yay, team!

What's the Baby Elephant song I heard at Burning Man?
I'm trying to identify a sample from the first few minutes of this album
Loving you is . . . easy to forget? What was that song from 2008 - 2009?
Finding a song based on a music video: "a woman riding a horse and she had dramatically long hair that floated through the sky"
When this video was posted to MetaFilter of school children in Kenya recreating the end of the 1986 World Series, what were the chances a member of MetaFilter is not only in Kenya currently, but also personally met and knew Bill Buckner, the subject of that famous 1986 game?
Surprisingly, the chances were pretty good.
MetaFilter started as a community weblog in 1999, later added question and answers, then music by members, jobs, projects by members, a podcast, and finally an area dedicated to meetups.
