Updating the MeFi Projects guidelines
Hey, folks! We've updated the posting guidelines for MetaFilter Projects, the part of the site where members can share their own creative work. Come take a look at what's up!
MetaFilter members are a talented, creative lot and when they have big projects in need of fundraising they often go to Kickstarter. For the past year or so we've been running the MetaFilter-curated Kickstarter page, showing off all current and successful past projects from MetaFilter members. This page is open to any member of MetaFilter with an active project at Kickstarter. Just contact us to share your KS url and we'll get it added to the page lickety split.
MeFi member revikim made this beautiful design using nothing but ink pens over six days of work, posted it to Projects and it ended up on MetaFilter. Stunning work while also being hard to imagine the hours that went into producing it.
Every few months I remember the MeFi User Sites blog and check it out. It's not updated super frequently, but it has been going on for a while so if you're new to it, be sure to check it out as there are deep archives of some really cool websites some MeFi members run.
MetaFilter started as a community weblog in 1999, later added question and answers, then music by members, jobs, projects by members, a podcast, and finally an area dedicated to meetups.
